Iran reopens Ziyarat visa with new conditions for organized pilgrimage groups

Shiite News: The Islamic Republic of Iran has announced the reopening of its Ziyarat (pilgrimage) visa, introducing a set of conditions to ensure safe and organized travel for pilgrims.
According to Iranian authorities, a Ziyarat visa will now only be issued for groups consisting of at least fifteen members. Each group leader, or Karwan Salaar, must submit an affidavit taking full responsibility for the pilgrims and their return, along with a complete list of names and passport numbers.
Groups with fewer than fifteen members will be granted tourist visas instead. Iranian officials emphasized that these measures aim to make the pilgrimage process smoother, more secure, and better coordinated, urging all pilgrims to strictly adhere to the updated rules.
