Punjab Govt approves tough crackdown against banned takfiri outfit TLP

Shiite News: The Punjab government has formally approved a decisive crackdown against the banned takfiri extremist group Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), citing its violent activities, hate-driven rhetoric, and disruptive protest campaigns.
According to official sources, the provincial cabinet unanimously endorsed the move, terming TLP’s actions “terrorist and militant in nature.” The government has initiated measures to freeze the group’s funding, seal its offices, and suspend all organizational operations across the province.
A formal summary has also been dispatched to the federal government, recommending that TLP be officially designated as a terrorist organization.
The statement further declared that the state would no longer tolerate violence, hate speech, or attacks on public property, and that law enforcement agencies have been directed to begin arrests, asset seizures, and financial investigations against the outfit.
