Millions in Cash and Gold Recovered from Banned TLP Chief Saad Rizvi’s Residence
Shiite News: Law enforcement agencies in Lahore have recovered millions of rupees in cash, gold, and foreign currency during a raid at the residence of Saad Rizvi, chief of the banned extremist group Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).
According to Punjab Police, officials recovered Rs. 11.44 crore in cash, along with large quantities of foreign currency from the UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and India — collectively valued at over Rs. 2.5 million.
Police sources further revealed that gold worth Rs. 6.34 crore was also recovered, deepening suspicions about TLP’s opaque financial network and possible external funding sources.
Investigators termed the discovery of such massive amounts of cash and valuables at a religious leader’s home as highly alarming, suggesting that TLP’s financial operations may involve illicit funding and internal corruption.
Security analysts noted that TLP, which portrays itself as a religious movement, has in reality become a nexus of financial interests and political blackmailing.
Punjab Police confirmed that the recovered assets have been seized and that further raids are expected as part of the ongoing investigation.
