America’s Friendship More Dangerous Than Its Enmity: Allama Sheikh Jawad Hafizi

Shiite News: Deputy Friday Prayer Leader of Skardu, Allama Sheikh Jawad Hafizi, expressed deep concern over recent incidents in Gilgit, demanding the arrest of culprits and transparent investigations. Delivering his Friday sermon, he said that American consultation and European pressure undermine national sovereignty, therefore independence and self-reliance must remain the foundation of Pakistan’s policies.
He reminded the audience of the saying of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei: “America’s friendship is more harmful than its hostility.”
Allama Hafizi stressed that modern imperialist powers are eroding the roots of the Muslim Ummah, and only intellectual awakening and Islamic resistance can counter the oppressive forces. He said Iran has always stood by the oppressed and remains a strong bastion against global arrogance.
Commenting on Gilgit’s situation, he said the attacks on Qazi Nisar and a judge are attacks on the entire Gilgit-Baltistan region. He urged unity among all sects against terrorism and called for justice without prejudice. “The people understand the enemies’ designs, and any conspiracy to disturb peace in Gilgit-Baltistan will fail,” he added.
He emphasized that national unity and central leadership under Allama Hassan Jafari ensure social stability and foil divisive plots, stressing that sectarian discord is a weapon of enemies which must be defeated through brotherhood and solidarity.
