Clash Between Two Groups of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Terrorist Qari Anas Muawiya Dies
Shiite News: A clash between two factions of the banned terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi erupted near Samama on Karachi’s University Road, resulting in the death of notorious extremist leader and active member of the organization, Qari Anas Muawiya.
According to initial police reports, the deceased terrorist, identified as a resident of Gulshan-e-Mazdoor and former information secretary of UC-12 Baldia Town, was targeted by motorcycle-borne assailants while using his mobile phone near a rickshaw stand.
Sources said that the incident was a consequence of internal disputes within the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants opened indiscriminate fire and fled the scene easily. Law enforcement officials later reached the spot, collected evidence, and launched an investigation.
Security analysts stated that internal rivalries among proscribed organizations in Karachi have intensified, leading to open armed clashes and targeted killings — raising serious concerns about the city’s law and order situation.
