Civil Aviation Authority banned media coverage of pilgrims upon orders of pro-Saudi Government
Shiite news monitoring: Several days have passed since Mina incident took place but Muslim Ummah is still unaware of several facets of the incident and it seems that they have been deliberately hidden from the public.
Since pilgrims have started returning to their homes and the reality could now be revealed therefore, some departments have banned the media coverage and when Express news tried to interview the pilgrims, they were stopped by the Civil Aviation Authority.
Like other media sources, we also want to know the reason for this ban, what is the government afraid of? What is it trying to hide? Does the government wants to stop media accessing right information?
On one hand, all officials of Ministry for religious affairs have turned off their numbers and on the other hand, now when the pilgrims have started returning, CCA restricted media from interviewing the pilgrims so that the media will not be able to get right information regarding two major incidents in Mina.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, Shujat Azeem has ordered that Media coverage of any flight coming from Saudi Arabia will not be allowed.
