Assassination Attack on Qazi Nisar Exposes Big Conspiracy Against Sectarian Harmony of Gilgit-Baltistan

Shiite News: The assassination attempt on Qazi Nisar Ahmed, head of Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamaat Gilgit-Baltistan, has exposed a dangerous conspiracy aimed at sabotaging the sectarian harmony and communal peace of the region.
Sources told Shiite News that Shia-Sunni unity and inter-sectarian understanding were growing steadily in recent years, with all communities united on common regional rights.
Whether over land and mineral issues or the demand for constitutional rights, communities were cooperating in peace — a situation unacceptable to the enemies of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The attack, therefore, is seen as an organized attempt to derail this peaceful environment. However, scholars have expressed firm resolve to foil such conspiracies.
Regional leaders said Shia and Sunni elders must remain vigilant and united against such plots. They stressed that internal unity is essential for achieving the region’s collective goals and preventing sectarian unrest.
The attack has been strongly condemned across Gilgit-Baltistan. Leading Shia scholars have termed it an organized conspiracy and vowed that the peaceful atmosphere of the region will not be allowed to be destroyed under any circumstances.
