Attack on Qazi Nisar is Actually an Attack on the Peace and Unity of Gilgit-Baltistan: Allama Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Jafari

Shiite News: Imam Juma of Markazi Jamia Masjid Skardu, Allama Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Jafari, has said in a statement issued from his media cell that the unfortunate incident of firing on Ameer Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamaat Gilgit-Baltistan and Khateeb Markazi Jamia Masjid Ahle Sunnah Gilgit, Qazi Nisar Ahmed, is not just an attack on an individual but on the peace, dignity and unity of Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said such incidents reveal the hands of those who fear the region’s growing peace, brotherhood, and collective awareness.
Strongly condemning the attack, Allama Jafari appealed to the people of faith, scholars, youth, and conscious citizens to show patience, wisdom and awareness. He said the enemy’s biggest weapons are rumor, incitement and chaos — and these must be defeated through unity and discipline. “A nation that keeps its emotions under control is the one that overcomes temptations,” he added.
Allama Jafari demanded that the Gilgit-Baltistan government and law enforcement agencies conduct a transparent and impartial investigation, bring those responsible to justice and ensure a real sense of security for the people. “Timely provision of justice is the foundation of peace,” he stated.
He expressed confidence that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan will foil the enemy’s plans and once again make the region a shining example of peace, brotherhood, and mutual love. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and for the region’s continued unity, harmony and protection from sedition.
It should be noted that unknown persons opened fire on Maulana Qazi Nisar Ahmed in Gilgit today, injuring him. The people of Gilgit-Baltistan have condemned the attack and termed it a conspiracy to sabotage peace.
