Ishaq Dar reveals only former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed in Israeli custody; rejects modified Gaza peace plan
Shiite News: While expressing views in the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar made a major revelation regarding the Gaza situation and Trump’s proposed plan.
He confirmed that, according to latest intelligence, only former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan is in Israeli custody, while all other reports of detained Pakistanis are unverified. He assured that the government is making every possible effort for their safe release through diplomatic channels.
He clarified that since Pakistan has no direct diplomatic ties with Israel, negotiations are being pursued via third-party friendly countries.
Discussing the Gaza peace agreement, Ishaq Dar revealed that when Muslim countries were presented with a 20-point agenda, they were later handed a modified draft, containing unauthorized changes that Pakistan and other states did not approve. He stated that Pakistan completely rejects the altered version and considers it against the principles of justice and self-determination.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s stance on Palestine remains consistent with Quaid-e-Azam’s vision, supporting full independence of Palestine and opposing recognition of Israel.
Ishaq Dar criticized the UN, EU, and Arab world for failing to stop Gaza’s bloodshed, asserting that Trump’s talks were only aimed at securing a ceasefire, not addressing the core Palestinian issue.
