MNA Hameed Hussain raises issues of passport blockage and Kurram NADRA office in NA
Shiite News: The meeting of the Standing Committee on Government Assurances of the National Assembly was held today at the Parliament House, Islamabad, under the chairmanship of Ms. Nuzhat Sadiq, Member of the National Assembly.
The meeting was specially attended by MWM Pakistan Parliamentary Leader and Member of the National Assembly Engineer Hameed Hussain Turi. The Director General Passport and Director NADRA were also invited to the committee meeting.
In his address, Engineer Hameed Hussain Turi shed light in detail on the serious issue of passport blocking of travelers from Kurram district. The DG Passport listened to his position carefully and assured an immediate solution to the issue.
Furthermore, MNA Engineer Hameed Hussain pointed out the problems faced by various NADRA offices in Kurram district, including Parachinar, Sadda, Dogar, Bagan and Sameer Abbas, such as shortage of staff, inefficient computer systems and frequent internet outages. He also proposed the establishment of new NADRA offices for public convenience.
The Chairperson of the Committee, Ms. Nuzhat Sadiq, directed the officers of both the departments to resolve the issues related to the passport block and NADRA offices in Kurram district before the next meeting and submit a detailed report to the Committee.
