Pakistan Army has given a lot of sacrifices for the country and nation: General Raheel Sharif

 Army Chief General Raheel Sharif visited Lahore Garrison and attended the commemorations for Golden Jubilee celebrations of 11th Infantry Division.  The army chief lauded the exceptional performance of the 11 Infantry Division in Indo-Pak wars and fight against terror. Core Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Naveed Zaman, DG Rangers Punjab Major General Umar Farooq Barki, GOC 10 Division Major General Tariq Aman, GOC 11 Division Major General Fida Hussain Malik and former senior military officers also attended the golden jubilee celebrations.

While talking to the participants, Gen. Sharif said that the history of Pakistan Army bears testimony to the fact that its men have displayed unprecedented resolve, dedication and sacrifices for the defense of the motherland.

The COAS went on to say that exceptional performance of the 11 Infantry Division in Indo-Pak wars and its contributions in the ongoing war on terror fully substantiates its phenomenal standing as a fighting entity. He further said that the victories at Khem Karan and Hussaini wala sectors speak volumes of valour displayed by all ranks associated with this Division. Army Chief went to Rawalpindi after a day’s visit.
