Allama Sajid Naqvi highlights Hazrat Abu Talib’s Legacy of Support for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Shiite News – Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi has praised the unwavering sacrifices made by Hazrat Abu Talib, the revered uncle of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and father of Amir al-Mu’minin, Hazrat Ali (AS), in promoting and protecting Islam.
Allama Naqvi highlighted that Hazrat Abu Talib dedicated his life and resources to defend the Prophet (PBUH) and support the message of Islam, from the proclamation of Prophethood to the hardships endured during the years of the boycott in the Sha’b Abi Talib.
In a message delivered on the occasion of Hazrat Abu Talib’s death anniversary on the 26th of Rabi’ al-Awwal, Allama Naqvi emphasized that Hazrat Abu Talib’s role was crucial in the survival and propagation of Islam during its early days. He pointed out that Hazrat Abu Talib held an esteemed position as a key member of Banu Hashim and also carried the responsibility of managing the keys to the Kaaba, in addition to supporting Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) throughout the critical stages of his mission.
Allama Naqvi noted that the year of Hazrat Abu Talib’s death, along with the passing of Lady Khadijah (RA), was declared “Aam al-Huzn” (Year of Sorrow) by the Prophet (PBUH), marking a significant moment of grief and loss for the Messenger of Allah.
He also reflected on the dire conditions of humanity before the advent of Islam, where society was mired in corruption, injustice, and social inequality. It was in this chaotic environment that Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) mission brought a message of hope, righteousness, and divine guidance. Allama Naqvi pointed out that Hazrat Abu Talib played a vital role in assisting the Prophet (PBUH) during this transformative period.
The leader of the Shia Muslim community in Pakistan reiterated that the legacy of Hazrat Abu Talib and his descendants continues to inspire the propagation of Islam. Their sacrifices, through both wealth and life, have left indelible marks on Islamic history, providing a timeless beacon of guidance for humanity to follow for its salvation.
