At least six Pakistani nationals were killed on Tuesday during clashes with Taliban militants near the Pak-Afghan border in Balochistan’s Chagai district.

“Six Pakistani nationals were killed near the Pak-Afghan border,” Balochistan Levies DG Captain Tariq Zehri told to media.

The six men were reportedly dacoits who had earlier been kidnapped by Taliban from Pakistan. However, it is yet to be ascertained by Levies officials if they were dacoits.

“Six people of Nushki and Taftan were kidnapped from Pakistan by the Taliban and then they were killed in Afghanistan,” a Balochistan Leveis Official in Nokundi said.

According to sources in Nokundi, Taliban issued a video showing the execution of the six Pakistanis in Afghanistan who were identified as Jameel, Sarwar, Shah Murad, Basit, Ghani, Kutab Khan and belonged to Balochistan’s Taftan and Nushki areas.

Although one of the bodies was handed over to the Taftan Levies, the others still remain in Afghanistan.
