Governor Sindh informs Shia leader about the progress on their demands

Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ibad called Allama Nazir Abbas Taqvi of Shia Ulema Council on Saturday and informed him about the progress he made on the demands of the Shiites.
 
Shia Ulema Council, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and almost all Shia parties had participated in a 39 hours sit-in near mausoleum of founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah. They announced an end to the protest sit-in after Governor Sindh assured them as representative of the federal government that their demands would be met soon.
 
Governor Sindh informed Allama Nazir Taqvi, provincial chief of SUC, that he had approved summary of payment of Rs.1.8 million in terms of medical bills of the youngster girl Mehzar Zahra. She was seriously injured in outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba terrorists attack on her and her father who embraced martyrdom.
 
He assured that Mehzar Zahra would be shifted to UK hospital soon for needed treatment.      
 
He said that he would take steps for payment of treatment bills of the other Shia youths injured in terrorist attack and hospitalized. He also discussed in detail the demand for release of arrested innocent Shia youths.  
 
Dr Ishrat ul Ibad recalled that President Asif Zardari had already issued directives for withdrawal of order of expulsion and rustication of 16 students of Karakoram International University. These youths were punished for holding Youm-e-Hussain (AS) in the university.
 
Governor Sindh also asked Allama Taqvi to file with him the details of heirs and relatives of the Shia martyrs so that the compensatory amounts could be paid at the earliest to meet the legitimate demand of the sit-in.
