Ulema body recommends blasphemy case proceedings against Zakir Jafer Jatoi

The Mutahidd Ulema Board Punjab has recommended blasphemy case proceedings against a zakir, Jafar Jatoi, detained in jail. With Molana Hafiz Fazalur Raheem Asharfi in the chair, a meeting of the Board was also attended by Molana Qazi Ghulam Murtaza, Molana Raghi Hussain Naeemi, Molana Abdur Rauf, and Molana Abdur Rehman Ludhianvi. The Board members listened the CD provided by CCPO Lahore, and perused the text of the speech made by Jafar Jatoi in a majlis at Chungi Amarsadhu area of Lahore. They recommended the case proceedings in blasphemy of Almighty Allah, Prophethood, Ahle Bait and sahaba. It is pertinent to note that the case was registered on complaint of a local Shia leader Chaudhry Nishan Ali on 18th of August in Kot Lakhpat area of Lahore under sections 295-C, 295-A and 298-A and the accused was taken into custody on 19th of August.
