Skardu: “Hamara Jawan Hamari Umeed” Religious Course Concludes Under the Auspices of the Shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS)
Shiite News: A historic milestone in the religious history of Baltistan was marked as the 30-day short Islamic course, titled “Hamara Jawan Hamari Umeed”,” organized under the auspices of the Shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS), concluded at the Imamia Eidgah in Sundus, Skardu. More than 14,000 male and female students from across Baltistan participated in the course and its final examination.
The grand closing ceremony, attended by thousands of believers, featured the distribution of prizes, sacred gifts, and pilgrimage tickets.
Ten fortunate students received tickets for pilgrimage to the holy sites of Najaf, Karbala, Samarra, and Kadhimayn, while another ten were honored with the sacred flag of Hazrat Abbas (AS). A large number of other high achievers were also awarded valuable and blessed prizes.
Notably, the majority of the top positions were secured by female students. Except for one male student, all pilgrimage tickets went to pious and veiled young girls, many of whom were moved to tears of joy.
The attendees expressed that these young girls were truly blessed, having been invited by Hazrat Abbas (AS) himself to his sacred shrine.
Prominent religious scholars, including Allama Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Jafari, Allama Dr. Yaqub Bashoi, and Agha Syed Baqar Hussaini, President of Anjuman-e-Imamia Baltistan, praised the initiative as a vital step for strengthening the faith and religious consciousness of the younger generation.
They recommended expanding the program in the coming years to include individuals up to 40 years of age.
Addressing the gathering, the representative of the Shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS), Hujjat-ul-Islam Allama Nasir Abbas Najafi, announced that similar courses would continue in the future.
He also shared plans for launching global online religious classes under the “Khatam al-Anbiya Institute,” enabling believers worldwide to learn the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his Ahlul Bayt (AS) from their homes.
The ceremony concluded with an emotional atmosphere, deepening the love for religion, yearning for pilgrimage, and genuine devotion to the Ahlul Bayt (AS) in the hearts of the people of Baltistan. Parents, teachers, and scholars alike hailed the course as a strong foundation for nurturing the faith of the new generation.
