Allama Sajid Naqvi expresses concern over flood situation, condemns Indian water aggression
Shiite News: Head of Shia Ulema Council Pakistan Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi expressed deep regret over the losses caused by floodwaters throughout the country, especially in Punjab, and condemned Indian water aggression in strong words.
He demanded that the federal and provincial governments take all possible steps to protect the lives and property of the people and provide maximum rescue and relief.
Expressing deep sorrow over the devastation caused by rains, climate change and floods across the country, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi demanded that all possible steps be taken to protect the lives and property of the people and provide maximum rescue and relief.
At the same time, he directed the workers and volunteers to remain in the field of action to protect the people as much as possible and serve their fellow countrymen and sisters in this difficult situation.
He further said that there is no doubt that the intensity of the destruction of climate change and India’s first stopping of water and then suddenly releasing it is not only worrying but also highly condemnable.
This move is a clear example of a serious violation of the Indus Waters Treaty. Pakistan will have to take practical steps on mega projects to deal with this type of water aggression and complete them in the shortest possible time so that maximum population can be protected and the nefarious intentions of the enemy can be thwarted by increasing water resources.
He said that after Punjab, there are concerns about floods in Sindh as well, so emergency measures should be taken to ensure the safety of people’s lives and property in the low-lying areas of Sindh province.
At the same time, he demanded that all affected areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab be declared disaster-affected due to recent climate change and flood conditions.
