Iran ready to cooperate with Pakistan for border peace and elimination of terrorism, Iranian general

Shiite News: Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Seyyed Abdul Rahim Mousavi has said that Iran is ready to cooperate with Pakistan for the complete elimination of terrorism and the protection of common borders.

In a telephonic conversation with Field Marshal Seyyed Asim Munir, General Mousavi expressed his heartfelt sympathy for the loss of life and property to the people of Pakistan due to the floods and said that the Iranian armed forces are ready to provide all possible assistance.

He said that excellent relations have been established between Iran and Pakistan at the highest level, which truly reflect brotherly relations.

General Mousavi stressed that the activities of terrorist groups in the border areas have increased, against which joint action is inevitable.

He expressed the hope that Pakistan and Iran will make the borders a cradle of peace and friendship through mutual cooperation.

The Pakistani army chief thanked the head of the Iranian armed forces and offered condolences on the martyrdom of Iranian security personnel.

He said that there is complete harmony between Pakistan and Iran. The two countries will work together to make the borders a center of peace, friendship and economic development.
