Iran offers assistance to Pakistan’s flood victims, Expresses condolences

Shiite News: According to Pakistani media, Iran’s Interior Minister has expressed grief and condolences over the loss of precious lives caused by heavy rains and flash floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit.
Extending heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families, he prayed for patience and offered cooperation in relief efforts for flood-affected communities.
Sikandar Momeni stated, “Pakistan is our brotherly and neighboring country. In this time of trial, we are ready to extend every possible assistance.
It is heartbreaking to see the devastation caused by floods in Pakistan, where hundreds of people have lost their loved ones. We stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Pakistan.”
In response, Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi thanked his Iranian counterpart for the gesture of solidarity and the offer of assistance.
He said, “Iran and Pakistan share both joy and sorrow. Climate change is bringing catastrophic destruction to Pakistan, and for the first time in our history, the country is facing such dangerous climatic conditions.”
He further added that all state institutions are actively engaged in providing relief and rehabilitation to flood victims, and ensuring their recovery remains the government’s top priority.
