Supreme Court grants bail to Imran Khan in May 9 Riots Cases

Shiite News: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has approved bail for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan in eight cases related to the May 9 riots.
According to reports from Islamabad, Chief Justice Yahya Afridi headed a three-member bench that heard Imran Khan’s bail petitions today (Thursday).
After hearing arguments from both sides, the Chief Justice announced the decision orally in court.
The three-member bench ordered the release of the former premier, granting him bail in all eight cases connected to the May 9 unrest.
The Supreme Court’s ruling comes at a time when special anti-terrorism courts have already handed down prison terms and fines to several senior PTI leaders, including opposition leaders in both the National Assembly and the Senate.
