Company gets license to operate ferry service between Pakistan and Iran
Shiite News: A private company has successfully obtained a license to operate a ferry service (sea travel) between Pakistan and Iran, which was obtained after a seven-year-long approval process.
The journey to license approval was challenging, involving numerous regulatory hurdles and negotiations.
CEO Muhammad Omar announced that the initial phase of the ferry service will focus on establishing a reliable and efficient route between Pakistan and Iran, with the aim of promoting regional connectivity and economic cooperation, including tourism.
The company’s CEO Muhammad Omar further said that the company has plans to further expand the ferry network, which includes plans to extend the ferry service to other nearby countries in the region such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates, thus helping to increase trade and tourism in the region.
Federal Minister Junaid Anwar Chaudhry stressed the importance of this development and said that the ferry service will not only facilitate the easy movement of goods and people but will also strengthen diplomatic relations between these countries, which will promote regional unity and prosperity.
