Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas demands Senate body to take notice on Arbaeen byroad travel ban

Shiite News: In view of the closure of the land border on the occasion of Arbaeen and the difficulties faced by pilgrims, Leader of Unity, Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri telephonically contacted Senator Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman, Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Religious Affairs.

Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri expressed deep concerns over the severe distress, financial loss and hurt to religious sentiments of pilgrims and expressed concern over the lack of a clear strategy from the government so far.

He said that pilgrimage is not just a journey for us, but also an act of worship, and no kind of obstacle will be tolerated in it.

Acknowledging the seriousness of the issue, Senator Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman promised full cooperation and assured that he would raise the issue at the highest level.

According to him, there is no official decision by the Ministry of Religious Affairs to close the land routes yet, and he will soon meet the Minister of Religious Affairs on this issue.

Leader of Unity Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri expressed hope that the government will respect the religious and constitutional rights of pilgrims and take immediate steps to make the holy journey of Arbaeen possible with convenience and security.
