2day sitinShiites sit-in that began on Friday afternoon has entered into second day with more people joining the protest against Shiites genocide in Pakistan.

“Hundreds of thousands of Shiites including women and children continue sit-in and thousands are on way to join,” said a protestor talking to the Shiites News.

Defying the cold day and night of winter and a tense situation due to protest of a ruling coalition’s party, Shia Muslims continue to join the sit-in on M A Jinnah Road near Numaish Chowrangi.

Shia Ulema Council’s call for sit-in enjoy support of all Shia parties including Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Imamia Students Organisation, Haiyat Aimma e Masajid, Pasban-e-Jafaraia and others.

“Continue sit-in no matter if I am martyred and bring my coffin to this venue,” vowed Allama Nazir Abbas Taqvi speaking to the protestors. It is also relevant to add here that unknown terrorists had conducted aerial firing to scare the protestors but they were not scared.

Shia women and children are wearing armbands and forehead bands inscribed with their pledge Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS) and Labbaik Ya Mahdi (AS). Numaish Chowrangi and M A Jinnah Road is reverberating with the slogans of Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS) since Friday afternoon.

Maulana Sadiq Raza Taqvi of the MWM said that police fell victims to political expediency therefore army should be called in to launch a military operation against the terrorists.

Shia leaders have warned that they would continue to stage sit-in as long as representative from the government comes and assure them that genocide would be stopped and operation would be launched against the terrorists.
