Flood Emergency in GB: Agha Ali Rizvi Calls for Immediate Federal Aid

Shiite News: Provincial President MWM GB Agha Ali Rizvi has said in a statement to the media that Gilgit-Baltistan is submerged in floods, the victims are at the mercy of the stormy floods.

The eyes of the people are on the federation, the challenge is so big that it is not up to the provincial government. Gilgit-Baltistan has suffered losses of trillions so far.

We offer our condolences to the families of the precious lives lost in these stormy floods. We pray for the safety of the passengers who are still missing. This is a difficult time for the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, this time will also pass in a good way.

The people should not wait for government assistance, move forward, join hands and participate in the rescue.

The way in which my nation, caught in difficulties, made arrangements for accommodation, food and rescue for the travelers with selflessness and dedication is a matter of pride.

In particular, the people of Sadpara opened the doors of their homes and extended hospitality, similarly the people of Diamer arranged accommodation and food for the guest travelers and tourists. This is our tradition and our identity.

We demand from the federal government that Gilgit-Baltistan be declared a disaster area, rescue and relief operations be accelerated, and the losses of the flood victims be compensated.
