Ishaq Dar meet Araqchi discuss bilateral cooperation
Shiite News: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with his Iranian counterpart Syed Abbas Araqchi in Tianjin today. The meeting was on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
The two leaders reviewed bilateral cooperation in various fields and had detailed discussions on the situation in the Middle East, especially after the recent Israeli attack on Iran.
Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people and government of Iran and said that Islamabad desires peace and stability in the region.
He stressed that dialogue and diplomacy are the only way to reduce tensions and achieve lasting peace.
Earlier, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar shared a photo of his meeting with the foreign ministers of Iran, Uzbekistan and Belarus in a post on the social media platform “X”.
He wrote that meeting with the Iranian, Uzbek and Belarusian counterparts on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, especially before meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, at the “Great Hall of the People” in Beijing, was an important occasion.
Ishaq Dar added in his post that it is always very important and beneficial to exchange views, mutual understanding and promote regional cooperation, especially in such challenging times.
