Shiite News: The Islamic Republic of Iran has announced to issue free pilgrimage visas for Pakistani pilgrims on the occasion of Arbaeen Hussaini.
According to the details, the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad and consulates in other cities have announced that pilgrimage visas will be issued free of charge to Arbaeen pilgrims from August 4 to August 19, 2025.
Speaking to the Iranian News Agency, the Consul of the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad, Hossam Khatami, said that keeping in mind the brotherly relations with a friendly and neighboring country like Pakistan, we have decided to make the pilgrimage visas free for the pilgrims of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) this year as well.
He explained that there are several conditions that must be met to obtain a free Iranian visa, including: an Iraqi visa, approval of an Iranian pilgrimage visa for Arbaeen, and provision of buses for land travel. No fee will be charged for visa approval, only a small insurance fee will be charged.
According to Hossam Khatami, all necessary instructions and regulations regarding the entry of pilgrims into Iran by land routes during Arbaeen and then to Iraq have been issued by Iranian embassies and consulates to pilgrimage caravans and agencies.
He also said that the consular services of Iranian representative offices have been further activated on this occasion to provide maximum convenience to pilgrims.
It is noteworthy that this announcement came during a trilateral meeting of the interior ministers of Iran, Pakistan, and Iraq in Tehran, hosted by the Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Eskandar Momeni.
