Three nations unite to ensure dignified Arbaeen Pilgrimage after positive trilateral talks

Shiite News: Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, speaking at a joint press conference at the end of the trilateral meeting of the interior ministers of Iran, Iraq and Pakistan, said that he thanked the governments and nations of Pakistan and Iraq for condemning the attacks of the Zionist regime and supporting the legitimate and successful defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He said that the results of the trilateral meeting regarding facilitating the transportation, security and health sectors related to the pilgrimage were undoubtedly very positive, constructive and harmonious, and they will play an important role in organizing the great and global gathering of Arbaeen in a dignified manner.

Momani added that the delegations from both Iraq and Pakistan were at the highest level, consisting of representatives from various ministries, which is proof that the three countries are determined to hold Arbaeen this year in a more dignified manner than ever before.

During the press conference, Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari said that very important and positive decisions were taken in today’s meeting.

Referring to the number of non-Iraqi pilgrims, he said that approximately 5 million non-Iraqi pilgrims from different countries of the world enter Iraq for the Arbaeen pilgrimage; this is a very significant number that requires extensive security, food, accommodation and transportation arrangements.

He said that we have started our services to host this great human gathering and various committees have been formed for this purpose.

Representatives have been appointed by both Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran to follow up on matters related to the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

Al-Shammari, while mentioning the Pakistani pilgrims, said that we will also welcome our Pakistani pilgrim brothers with full generosity and kindness. Their entry into Iraq will be in compliance with the current visa laws and regulations, and we are fully prepared to serve them.

Pakistani Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, while speaking at a joint press conference, said that first of all, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my esteemed brother Mr. Momini for hosting this conference. I am also very happy that I got the opportunity to meet and talk with the Iraqi Interior Minister.

He added that during this conference, very useful and constructive discussions took place, and very important points were discussed by the three parties.

Mohsin Naqvi, highlighting the importance of the decisions taken in this meeting, said that one of the important topics was that the three countries would form a joint tripartite working group for better coordination regarding the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

He said that the concerns and issues raised by the Iraqi brothers in this meeting have been listened to seriously, and we will give them full attention.

The Pakistani Interior Minister said that every year we see that the Arbaeen pilgrimage is being held in a more organized and successful manner every year. I once again express my heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Iraq for this wonderful hospitality.
