Balochistan: Nine passengers martyred after identification in Sarra Dakai terror attack

Shiite News: In a tragic and brutal act of terrorism, at least nine passengers were killed after being forcibly removed from buses and identified by terrorists in the Sarra Dakai area of Balochistan.

The attackers stopped vehicles en route to Punjab and executed selected individuals after checking their identity cards, according to media reports.

The incident occurred on the national highway between Loralai and Musakhel, where terrorists ambushed the buses and carried out the targeted killings.

Shahid Rind, spokesperson for the Balochistan government, confirmed the attack and condemned it as a “clear act of barbarity.”

Among the victims were two brothers, Usman and Jaber, whose other brother, Sabir, shared on social media that their father had passed away just a day earlier.

The two were reportedly returning to Punjab with their families to attend the funeral, which was scheduled for 9 a.m. the same morning.

Shahid Rind stated, “This horrific incident reflects the malicious intent of enemies who aim to undermine the peace, stability, and unity of Pakistan.”

He added that the bus drivers managed to reach Loralai, where they alerted the local administration. Security forces immediately responded, reaching the site and launching a pursuit of the attackers.
The spokesperson further revealed that simultaneous attacks also took place in Kalat and Mastung, but prompt and decisive responses from security forces were recorded at all three locations.

Although the terrorists managed to escape under the cover of darkness, a massive search and clearance operation is ongoing in the affected areas.
“This cowardly act will not break the spirit of the people of Balochistan,” Rind asserted. “The people have stood firm like a wall against the evil ambitions of anti-state elements.”

He emphasized that the attack is viewed as a direct assault on Pakistan’s peace, security, and national unity, and vowed that those responsible would be brought to justice and face dire consequences.
