Mourning is our legal and Sharia right, Muharram should not be made a symbol for fear, Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi

Shiite News: Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, the head of the Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan, has said in his message on the beginning of Muharram 1447 AH that the month of Muharram reminds the martyrdom of Sayyid-ul-Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala, as well as their mission and struggle.

Mentioning the events of Karbala is a means of refreshing the mission and struggle of the martyrs of Karbala. Mourning gatherings and mourning gatherings are organized to make the pure objectives of Hussainiyyat and the impure intentions of Yazidiyyat clear to the world and to adopt a course of action to deal with the problems and challenges of the present era in the light and guidance of the life of Hussain (AS).

The mourning of Sayyid-ul-Shuhada has been going on for centuries all over the world to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and the incident of Karbala.

Muslims living in every region of the world, and indeed all people, observe mourning in their own way and manner and pay tribute to the immortal struggle of Imam Hussain (AS). Mourning of Sayyid-ul-Shuhada gives a spirit of resistance against oppression and oppression and this brings about a change in the personal behavior of a person and in collective affairs.

Allama Sajid Naqvi said that according to the constitution and law of Pakistan, observing mourning is a constitutional, legal, and religious right of every citizen, which no force can take away.

Therefore, creating a fear, unrest, or war atmosphere in the country before the arrival of the mourning period, or mourning and lamentation under the shadow of curfew and bayonets, is absolutely unacceptable.

He stressed that it is the responsibility of scholars, reverends, and the public of all schools of thought to maintain mutual respect, further strengthen the atmosphere of unity and solidarity, and create an environment of tolerance.
