Allegation of insulting the companions is baseless, press conference of Shia leaders in defense of Allama Shahenshah Naqvi

Shiite News: On the beginning of Muharram-ull-Haram, Ulema e Millat Jafariya while addressing a joint press conference in Pak Muharram Hall Karachi said that the days of Muharram Al-Haram are holy days for all Muslims.

During these days, everyone should come together to remember the mourning of Syed Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), his biography, sacrifice and achievements, but unfortunately, a certain Takfiri group is continuously playing a negative role in Pakistan.

The scholars participating in the press conference included Allama Nazer Abbas Taqvi, Allama Baqir Hussain Zaidi, Allama Sadiq Jafari, Syed Shabbar Raza, SM Naqi, Ghayyur Abbas, Allama Naqi Naqvi, Sarwar Ali and others.

The leaders clarified that the speech made by the Khatib e Pakistan Allama Syed Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi while addressing the Milad at the Imambargah on the occasion of Eid Ghadir in Peshawar recently was an expression of the beliefs of the Jafariya Millat and did not contain any insult or provocation.

They said that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in the Ghadir field: “Man kunt Maulah, fahaza Ali Maulah,” one and a half million companions accepted the wilayah of Maula Ali (a.s.). On this announcement, many Sunni and Shia scholars have also shed light in detail on the virtues and wilayah of Maula Ali (a.s.) in their books.

The leaders said that Allama Shahenshah Naqvi spoke to his congregation in the Imambargah according to his beliefs. If anyone finds this objectionable, they should not listen to it, but tactics like arresting him or filing an FIR will not be acceptable.

They asked: “Don’t you express your beliefs in your madrasas or gatherings? Should we also take out rallies when your beliefs are different from ours?” They firmly said that we will not accept any restrictions on expressing our beliefs.

The leaders supported Allama Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi and said that he is the preacher of Pakistan, and if any legal or illegal action is taken against him, the entire Jafariya nation will unite and defend him.

Finally, the speakers also expressed serious reservations over the local government issues of the Quaid-e-Azam city. They said that all the promises made by the Mayor of Karachi regarding Muharram-ul-Haram turned out to be mere words. Even today, due to lack of cleanliness, piles of dirt and filth are piled up around the Imambargahs of Karachi. If our civic issues are not resolved, we will protest on the streets.
