Budget is actually anti-people, Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi

Shiite News: The cabinet meeting of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan Karachi Division was held at the house of Central General Secretary Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi.

Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi said that the budget that has been presented is actually an anti-people budget.

The education, health and public welfare sectors have been completely ignored in it.

The current government has tried to throw dust in the eyes of the people by slightly increasing the salaries and pensions of government employees, while the inflation rate has exceeded 25 percent and the people are yearning for two-time bread.

This budget has rewarded industrialists, capitalists and the influential class with tax relief, while the burden of direct and indirect taxes on the common man has been increased.

Unfair strictness on retailers, new surcharges on electricity and petrol and measures like carbon levy are open robbery on the pockets of the people.

In the interest of fulfilling the conditions of international financial institutions, the government has completely ignored the country’s sovereignty and public relief.

This budget has not given any concrete policy or action plan to eliminate unemployment, promote exports and support local industry.

Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen completely rejects this anti-people budget and demands that education, health, employment and public welfare projects be completed on priority basis.

Otherwise, this budget will increase the difficulties of the people immensely and will take the economy to the brink of bankruptcy.
