Shiite News: Wahdat Employees Wing Pakistan’s central president Saleem Abbas Siddiqui categorically rejected the federal budget, calling it anti-labor.

He said that this budget is devoid of any relief for the salaried class. The government should immediately formulate new pay scales according to the law.

The 10 percent increase in salaries and 7 percent in pensions in the current budget is insufficient, they should be increased by at least 50 percent.

Salim Abbas Siddiqui expressed surprise and said that the salaries of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Senate, ministers, advisors and the Prime Minister have been increased by 600 percent while the salaries of ordinary employees have been increased by only 10 percent?

This decision is a complete injustice to the workers. He said that it seems as if the World Bank allows the rulers to increase their privileges, but prevents them from increasing the salaries of poor employees.

The President of the Wahdat Employees Wing made it clear that they will not allow the privatization of any institution in the country.

He termed the privatization of energy institutions as an anti-national move and said that this decision is against the public interest.

He appealed to the government and opposition members of the assembly, who have reached the houses by popular vote, to adopt a patriotic and people-friendly attitude and reject such decisions in the house.
