Budget is a tale of empty words, Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi

Shiite News: Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi says that the budget is nothing but a tale of empty words, nothing has been kept for the common man, however, whatever was available in some way has also been taken away.

Nearly half the population is below the poverty line, 25 million children are deprived of education, while additional taxes of 500 billion in the budget.

He expressed these views while reacting to the budget 2025-26 presented by the federal government.

Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi said about the budget that it would not be out of place to call it a “tale of empty words” with a lot of words.

What the IMF said was implemented on the common man, but the reforms that were drawn to it were not given any attention in the last financial year and the privileged class was given tax exemptions.

He further said that the verbal announcement of minimum wage for daily wage laborers also disappeared from the federal budget, just as the farmer was craving for the subsidy price of wheat.

The relief given to small farmers in the form of loans is not even equal to a cumin seed in the mouth of a camel.

On the one hand, it was claimed that no mini-budget was presented for the entire year, but with the increase in food prices day by day, the increase in prices despite the international decline in petroleum products, now the increase in carbon levy per liter along with petroleum levy, income tax on the purchase of clothes along with common food items and a plethora of taxes on common necessities, along with additional taxes of Rs 500 billion, how can the budget be called a people-friendly budget?

He further said that the gap between the rich and the poor in the society is increasing very rapidly, nearly half the population has crossed the poverty line, the middle class that runs the economy has almost disappeared, so how can the economic and financial conditions improve in such a situation?

Isn’t the fact that 25 million children cannot reach school a sign of danger? But alas, this class has been completely ignored. Instead of providing relief to the people from this federal budget, it will create more anxiety among the people.

Therefore, before the budget is approved, room should be made for relief for the common man who deserves it and unnecessary government expenses and protocols should be cut.
