Shiite News: A joint meeting of the Central Anjuman Imamia Baltistan and the Central Anjuman Imamia was held in Skardu under the chairmanship of President Anjuman Gilgit Imamia Baltistan Agha Syed Baqir Al-Hussaini, in which Allama Syed Rahat Hussain Al-Hussaini specially participated.

Various political and social issues of Gilgit-Baltistan were discussed in the meeting, especially the Land Reforms Act and the arrest of the leaders of the Public Action Committee were expressed.

It was announced in the meeting that the public objections to the Land Reforms Act should be removed while fully respecting the rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.

The position of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan is that the land from the river bank to the mountain peak belongs to the people and the people of Gilgit-Baltistan are the owners of these lands.

Therefore, the objections in the Land Reforms Act should be removed.

It was decided in the meeting that until these objections are removed, this act will not be accepted in any way.

The law that has been enacted in the act to prevent the decision of the District Board regarding lands from being taken to the civil courts by declaring it final is also a violation of the Pakistani constitution, law and basic human rights.

The Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan is demanded to send this bill back to the assembly and after removing all these objections, the act should be finalized, otherwise the people reserve the right to launch a movement against this act and the government will have to face a strong public reaction.
