Shiite News: A high-level dialogue of the two countries was held on the occasion of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to Tehran.

The meeting emphasized the strategic position of the two countries and emphasized the expansion of relations in the economic, cultural and security sectors.

On this occasion, Iranian President Masoud Peshkeshian welcomed the Pakistani Prime Minister and called the relations between the two countries the result of common historical, cultural and religious foundations.

He mentioned the comprehensive personality of Pakistan’s prominent national poet and the great thinker of the Islamic world, Allama Iqbal, and said that in his poetic words, Muslims get a message of unity, brotherhood and freedom from foreigners.

Pezzekiyan said that Iran is keen to expand joint cooperation in economic and cultural fields, including strategic relations with Pakistan.

He stressed the need to strengthen Islamic brotherhood, citing the enemies’ constant efforts to create division and discord among Islamic countries.

The Iranian president, while emphasizing the formation of a joint platform for trade development, said that the path to bilateral economic development can be paved by strengthening financial and banking relations.

Islamic countries can become open markets for each other where they can solve internal problems through the exchange of scientific and technological experiences, but a common commitment is needed to achieve this goal.

He added that today, European countries have abolished borders between themselves, while Islamic countries were expected to move forward in this direction and create an economic, cultural and comprehensive cultural framework among themselves.

Pezzekiyan, while mentioning the significant population and unparalleled capabilities of the Islamic world, added that the Islamic Ummah has immense capabilities, but due to the lack of a common vision and determination, today the Zionist usurper regime is massacring the oppressed people of Palestine and creating a crisis for Islamic countries.

He said that regarding the tension between India and Pakistan, we believe that this issue should not have led to a military conflict and Iran is ready to take any step that promotes peace and harmony in the region.

President Pezzekiyan said that it is necessary to strengthen security cooperation between Iran and Pakistan so that terrorism can be effectively combated through close contacts between the security forces of the two countries.

In this meeting, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed his happiness over meeting President Pezzekiyan and appreciated Iran’s efforts to defuse Pakistan-India tensions.

He stressed his country’s interest in promoting trade and economic relations with Iran, saying: The volume of trade exchanges between the two countries can be increased to $10 billion.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan will never allow any action against the Islamic Republic of Iran from its soil and we are ready for comprehensive cooperation with Iran in the fight against terrorism.

He strongly condemned the crimes of the Israeli government against the oppressed people of Gaza and said that Pakistan will stand with its Palestinian brothers until the liberation of Palestine.

The Pakistani Prime Minister emphasized his government’s strong support for Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, saying that we will stand with Iran in this regard.
