MWM delegation meets JS Ministry of Religious Affairs, discusses issues of pilgrims

Shiite News: A high-level delegation of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan today held an important meeting with Joint Secretary for Dawah and Pilgrimage of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ahmed Nadeem Khan.

In which the issues faced by pilgrims, registration of group organizers, delay in the pilgrimage visa policy by host countries and other related issues were discussed in detail.

The delegation highlighted the visa, transport, border facilities and administrative complications faced by pilgrims and stressed the need for their immediate resolution.

During the meeting, concerns were also expressed regarding some aspects of government policies.

The Joint Secretary assured the delegation that a comprehensive, transparent and worry-free policy will be formulated to make the pilgrims’ holy journey easy, dignified and safe, in which the opinions and consultations of all relevant stakeholders will be given central status.

MWM appreciated the government’s seriousness, efforts made to resolve the problems of pilgrims and the decision to include all relevant parties in the consultation.

The government representatives described the delegation’s suggestions regarding improving the pilgrimage process for pilgrims as important and worth considering and indicated that the consultation process will continue for their implementation.

The delegation welcomed the meeting and expressed the hope that these measures would be helpful in making the pilgrimage process easy and effective and reiterated that efforts would be continued to resolve the problems of pilgrims.
