MWM Punjab President arrives at Iranian Consulate, expresses gratitude

Shiite News: A high-level delegation comprising scholars of all schools of thought, grand sheikhs, prominent lawyers, traders’ association and representatives of various socio-religious associations today held a special meeting with the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lahore, Mehran Movahed, and the Director General of the Iranian Cultural Center, Dr. Asghar Masoodi.

The purpose of this meeting was to express gratitude for the full diplomatic and moral support provided by Iran to Pakistan during the current critical situation.

The delegation especially thanked the Iranian leadership for immediately sending the senior representative of the Iranian government, Dr. Araqchi, to Pakistan and offering full cooperation.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on bilateral relations, religious harmony, cultural cooperation and promotion of peace and stability in the region.

Both sides emphasized that Pakistan-Iran relations are not limited to the government level only, but also public and religious relations are proof of the deep relationship between the two countries.

Iranian officials reiterated that Iran has always stood by Pakistan and will continue to provide all possible support in the future.

Provincial President of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Punjab Mr. Allama Ali Akbar Kazmi, Central Coordinator of Khatba Zakir Wing Allama Hassan Raza Hamdani, religious and political leaders Amir Abbas Mirza, Pir Usman Noori, Allama Waqar-ul-Husain Naqvi, Zaheer Karbalai, Syed Wajahat Naqvi and others were also part of the delegation.
