Iranian Foreign Minister meets President Zardari, discusses Pahalgam incident and Gaza situation

Shiite News: According to Express News, an important meeting was held between President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and the Iranian Foreign Minister, in which the regional security situation, especially the tension between Pakistan and India after the Pahalgam incident, was discussed in detail.

President Zardari said that Pakistan and Iran have historical and brotherly relations. He stressed the importance of joint efforts to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

The Iranian Foreign Minister explained that his visit is based on the instructions of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezishkian. He described Pakistan’s position on the current situation as correct and understandable and appealed to all parties to exercise restraint.

The Iranian Foreign Minister said that Iran attaches great importance to relations with Pakistan and wants to further promote bilateral cooperation and trade between the two countries based on mutual interests.

The situation in Afghanistan was also discussed in the meeting. The Iranian Foreign Minister assured that Iran will continue to fully cooperate with Pakistan on important issues in the region.

President Zardari thanked the Iranian Foreign Minister for visiting Pakistan on this important occasion and said that India’s aggressive actions are a serious threat to the peace and stability of the region. The President once again reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to resolving issues through dialogue and diplomatic channels.

President Zardari also stressed the need to protect the mutual interests of the two countries and promote trade. In the meeting, the two sides expressed deep concern over the current situation in Gaza and strongly condemned the atrocities and human rights violations by Israeli forces in the West Bank and Gaza.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also conveyed a message of good wishes to President Asif Ali Zardari on behalf of the Iranian President.
