Speaking on the occasion, Allama Maqsood Ali Domki said that the uniform national curriculum is controversial because it completely ignores the beliefs of the Shia school and the teachings of Ahlul Bayt (AS) and this curriculum has been implemented in this form, which is severely affecting national unity and religious tolerance. This curriculum is not acceptable to us.
He said that we consider the 1975 curriculum of religion to be suitable because the teachings of different Islamic schools of thought were appropriately included in this curriculum.
Therefore, we demand that the uniform national curriculum of religion be structured in the style of 1975.
He further said that the Constitution of Pakistan and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights provide full protection to every human being for the right to receive education according to the instructions of his religion and school of thought. Uniform curriculum is an attack on this fundamental right of ours and is tantamount to oppression.
