
Shiite News: Shiite Ulema Council Pakistan Secretary General, Allama Dr. Shabbir Hassan Meesami, while giving a statement to the organizational media on the current situation in Sindh, said that there is concern about police baton charge and violence on lawyers’ protests regarding canals in Sindh.
Peaceful protest is a constitutional and legal right, the Sindh government should try to resolve the issues through dialogue.
The Secretary General of the Shiite Ulema Council further said that the federal and provincial governments should resolve the issues seriously.
It is very important to resolve the issues by listening to the concerns of the protesting lawyers.
The public and the business community are also facing severe problems due to the closure of roads. A CCI (Council of Common Interest) meeting should be convened soon so that a final solution to the problems can be found.
