Shiite News: Opposition Leader Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly and Parliamentary Leader Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Gilgit-Baltistan Muhammad Kazim Maisam specially participated in the Kurram Peace Conference held in Islamabad.
On this occasion, terming the closure of Kurram’s routes for seven months as a security failure, he demanded that the Federation should give citizens the right to live, the right to freedom of expression, and the right to free movement. Kurram, which has been under siege for seven months, is a slap in the face of the rulers and their false claims.

He said that even raising one’s voice in favor of Kurram was made a crime in the country.
When the oppressed of Kurram raised their voice, the whole of Pakistan came out. From Skardu, Gilgit to Karachi and Quetta to Lahore, we raised our voice, but it was regrettable that our leaders and scholars were attacked in Sindh.
Terrorism provisions were imposed. The Sindh government even said that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have no right to protest in Sindh.
It was said that the Parachinar issue is only a Parachinar issue, while it was a human issue.
We have always raised our voice for unity. We do not stand with any oppressor, but support every oppressed person, whether they are from Kurram, KP, Quetta or Gilgit-Baltistan.
The supremacy of justice and fairness and the struggle against oppression must continue.
