International community should take notice of killings on Quds Day in Nigeria, Allama Shafqat Shirazi

Shiite News: During the Quds Day demonstration in Nigeria on March 30, 2025, the army opened fire and martyred 10 people.

On this occasion, a large number of protesters were injured and arrested, about whom no one knows anything. Due to the indifference of the international media, this news was not covered anywhere.

Condemning the silence of the international media despite the passage of several days, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Muslim Unity Council, Hujjatul Islam Dr. Shafqat Shirazi, has said in his statement that like every year, this year too, this demonstration was in support of the Palestinians on the occasion of International Quds Day and against the Israeli attacks on Gaza.

The entire international community is silent on the violence that took place on this occasion.

He said that some human rights organizations only condemned the incident to the extent of rhetoric and thus the incident could not be reported in the mainstream media.

He said that the protesters were protesting peacefully in a legal manner, and the military action against them was unnecessary and a complete excess. He also expressed serious concern over the silence of international organizations regarding the injured and arrested protesters.

He appealed to all Muslims to open their mouths and bring the facts to light regarding the atrocities and violence taking place in Nigeria.
