The head of Shia Ulema Council Pakistan Allama Sajid Naqvi said it is an insulting step to conduct a search operation against peaceful and cultured Madaaris. While talking to the media Allama Syed Sajid Naqvi said that it is necessary to elucidate why the need for a new search operation against madaaris arises in the presence of more than 26 agencies? Is there some pressure for this or is it a result of helplessness and feebleness or it is a way to divert the attention from real issues and bad governance. He considered it as a discourteous step against those madaaris that have been established since a long time and have a respectable position in the society and it has been proved for these madaaris that they are peaceful and demonstrate civilized behavior. The operation against such madaaris is unacceptable, according to Allama Sajid Naqvi. He further said that we have always raised our voices against those madaaris that are a threat to the country and the people and that it is mandatory to conduct an operation against such madaaris which have been proved to be involved in the terrorist activities. But it is unacceptable that the operation, in the name of scrutiny search operation, be carried out against those madaaris that are fulfilling their responsibilities according to the constitution and law and have been serving both Pakistan and Islam. The government should refrain from doing this.
