CTD arrest 2 Lashkar-e-Jhangvi terrorists in twin cities

An intelligence-based operation was conducted to arrest the terrorists, as a result of which both the terrorists were taken into custody.

The arrested terrorists had completed their reconnaissance for terrorism at sensitive locations in Rawalpindi and Islamabad and were in touch with a key commander of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

During the arrest, hand grenades, a large quantity of explosives, detonators, safety fuses, wires and other destructive equipment were recovered from the terrorists.

The CTD has registered a case against the terrorists and started further investigation.

In the initial investigation, the terrorists have revealed that they had also attacked the I-9 police station with a hand grenade a few months ago.

CTD officials say that operations against such elements will continue in the war against terrorism so that the citizens can be kept safe.
