Punjab cabinet SCCLO reviews security arrangements for Youm e Ali

Shiite News: The 25th meeting of SCCLO was held in the Interior Department under the chairmanship of Minister for Health and Chairman Cabinet Committee for Law and Order Khawaja Salman Rafique.

Provincial Minister for Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani was also present in the meeting, while Provincial Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar Khan participated in the meeting through video link.

Punjab Home Secretary Noorul Amin Mengal briefed about the latest law and order situation across the province.

The cabinet committee reviewed security arrangements during Youm Hazrat Ali AS and the last ten days of Ramadan.

The Cabinet Committee directed to ensure strict security arrangements around mosques during the Qiyaam-ul-Layl.

The Cabinet Committee also approved the extension of the deployment of Rangers in Mianwali, DG Khan and Attock.

Khawaja Salman Rafique Ramadan observed with religious devotion and respect and we are ready day and night to ensure the safety of citizens. The Punjab Home Department is in full coordination with all relevant institutions in this regard.

The protection of people’s lives and property is the top priority of the state.

The Cabinet Committee meeting was attended by Secretary Home Punjab Noorul Amin Mengal, Additional IG Punjab Chaudhry Sultan, Special Secretary Home Fazlur Rehman, IG Prisons, CTD and Special Branch and officials from relevant institutions.

Commissioners and RPOs from across Punjab attended the meeting through video link.
