CTD arrests Lashkar-e-Jhangvi terrorist who threats on social media

Shiite News: CTD Intelligence Wing arrested Khalil-ur-Rehman, a key worker of the banned organization Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, while conducting an operation near the Taj Complex in Karachi.

According to CTD in-charge Raja Umar Khattab, weapons have also been recovered from the accused.

According to CTD officials, the arrested accused belongs to the Noor Waliullah group and has received terrorist training in Afghanistan.

In December last year, the accused had made videos of different areas of Karachi, including the Quaid-e-Azam shrine, sent them to Afghanistan and made them viral on social media, threatening that “we have come to Karachi”.

The CTD further revealed that the accused had also written “Karachi Coming Soon” on a slip and made it viral.

In addition, the accused was also found involved in chalking the banned organization Lashkar-e-Jhangvi in the Defense area of Karachi.

According to Raja Umar Khattab, the accused was arrested with the help of intelligence information, technical evidence and CCTV footage.

The CTD says that further investigation is underway and it is possible that other associates of the accused will also be arrested.
