Italian Ambassador to Iraq meets Ayatollah Hafiz Bashir Hussain Najafi

Shiite News: Grand Ayatollah Hafiz Bashir Hussain Najafi in the holy city of Najaf Ashraf, Iraq Italian Ambassador Nicolo Fontana met.

During the meeting, Ayatollah Hafez Bashir Hussein Najafi expressed his strong support for the Palestinian people.

Grand Ayatollah Hafez Bashir Hussein Najafi strongly opposed the efforts to expel the citizens of Gaza from their land and described the Israeli aggression as a devastating blow to the entire region and an attempt to massacre human lives.

Ayatollah Hafez Bashir Hussein Najafi appealed to the international community to support the oppressed people of Gaza and, while appreciating the services of the resistance leaders, paid tribute to the martyr Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, saying that he defended human freedoms with complete steadfastness.

On this occasion, he also shed light on the historical and scholarly status of the Kufa Mosque and described the mosque as a great center of Islamic history.

Italian Ambassador Nicolo Fontana thanked Ayatollah Najafi and reiterated his commitment to further strengthening relations with Iraq.
