First Ramadan will be on Sunday as moon of Ramadan has not been sighted in Pakistan

Shiite News: A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held today under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir at the Auqaf Hall Peshawar to sight the moon of Ramadan 1446 AH.

The meeting was attended by committee members, representatives of Meteorology, Suparco and other institutions.

Similarly, zonal committee meetings were also held in Karachi, Quetta, Islamabad, Lahore and other areas, but no evidence of moon sighting was received from anywhere.

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, while addressing all the participants at the end of the meeting, said that today the weather was cloudy in most parts of Pakistan and clear in some places.

No evidence of moon sighting was received from any part of Pakistan, so it was decided unanimously that the date of the first Ramadan will be on Sunday. The first fast will be observed on Sunday, March 2.
