Imam Hussain’s struggle is a beacon of light for all the oppressed, Allama Sajid Naqvi

Shiite News: Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi said on the occasion of the departure of the caravan from Medina on 28 Rajab Al-Murajab that in the first stage of the struggle of the grandson of the Prophet (PBUH), he did not pledge allegiance to the illegitimate caliphate of Yazid for the upliftment of the universal and just system of Islam, in the second stage, he left Medina, the homeland of his ancestors, for the upliftment of truth, and while leaving, he gave the message that I am going to seek reform in my grandfather’s nation.

Allama Sajid Naqvi further said that on the night of 28 Rajab 60 AH, Imam Ali decided to bid farewell to the homeland due to Yazid’s open debauchery and unfavorable environment and left Medina for Mecca with most of his family members and some Ansar after bidding farewell to his great grandfather, the Messenger of God (PBUH). The nature of the journey is clear from the Holy Verse he recited while leaving Medina.

“The Prophet Moses left his city in a state of fear and was waiting for an incident at every turn and said, O God! Save me from the oppressive people.” Similarly, this statement of Imam Hussain (PBUH) “I have set out to seek reform in the nation of my grandfather, the Messenger of God (PBUH)” clarifies the reason for his journey. At the next stage, he clarified his objectives and goals during the journey. At the last stage, he sacrificed his dear ones, relatives and companions in Karbala.

Allama Sajid Naqvi said that before the incident of Karbala, the grandson of the Holy Prophet, Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), changed the Ihram of Hajj from Medina to Mecca and from Mecca to Umrah and during his journey to Karbala, he expressed the aims and objectives of his stay in a clear manner and removed all the misconceptions of the world.

Despite the inevitable reality of death, he was not ready to back down from his position, which is why he rejected all kinds of financial, worldly, governmental and personal offers from the rulers and preferred only the implementation of the Quran, Sunnah and the system of Islam.

Allama Sajid Naqvi said that the unparalleled struggle and movement of the Imam Hussain AS is a source of guidance for all of us.

His struggle exposed the conspiracies against the deprived, oppressed and downtrodden classes in particular.

He also pointed out the irregularities, inequities, corruption, nepotism, unfair distribution of resources and violation of the fundamental rights of citizens by the rulers.

All the ruling classes and the deprived and oppressed classes of the present societies can benefit from the struggle of Imam Hussain (AS).
