Resolution to resolve Kurram district issues tabled, 40 MNAs supported
Shiite News: Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan parliamentary leader MNA Engineer Hameed Hussain presented a resolution in the National Assembly regarding the establishment of permanent peace and the current situation in Kurram district, which was signed by more than 40 members of the National Assembly and fully supported this resolution.
The text of the resolution states that the situation in Kurram district has been deteriorating for the past 3 years.
The people are insecure, horrific massacres are taking place, property is being damaged, and millions of people have been trapped due to fighting and tension.
Key demands of the resolution:
The Chhapri to Tri Mangal road in Kurram district should be made safe for all types of traffic and Kurram militia check posts should be established.
The long-standing problem of Kurram district is land disputes. The occupation of the land by the occupants should be ended and the disputes should be resolved according to the property documents.
Where there are incidents of terrorism, security forces should immediately set up blockades and take action against the terrorists.
The Speaker of the National Assembly should form a special parliamentary committee to conduct a complete investigation into all the heartbreaking incidents in Kurram district and submit a report to the National Assembly.
The Speaker should issue necessary instructions to the government to implement the recommendations of the report.
The Speaker of the National Assembly should form a committee comprising eminent and moderate scholars of all schools of thought. This committee should meet the tribes and determine the Sharia boundaries and issues.
The government should implement the December 2024 agreement of the elders of Kurram district and the Marri agreement within a specified time.
This sacred House demands that the Government of Pakistan and Commander-in-Chief Hafiz Syed Asim Munir immediately resolve these serious issues by taking timely and serious measures.
